Antique French silver rattle with wooden teething ring (19th century).

Charming French rattle, consisting of a smooth wooden teething ring with a beautifully engraved silver medallion. The relief depicts a playing toddler with a dog in a rural scene, typical of the romantic style of the 19th century.
The silver is hallmarked with the French boar's head guarantee for silver 800

1838-1868 and the maker's mark L.V. with an animal figure in the center.
A beautiful collector's item or baby gift.
